I normaly am not a fan of tire tracks, optinng for a fire eel whenever I can,but this guy just reall grabbed my attention.Usualy all the TT eels I see are dark or greyish brown but this guy is a light golden tan color. When he moves through the rockwork he riminds meof a rattler or somthing.

any way just thought I would post some pics.

yeah hes in with a fire eel right now of the same size.I couldnt really find anything warning against it so I tried it and I admit I am seeing a little bit of nipping going on between the two. :irked:

Very nice, good luck with keeping multiples. Tried and it was a constant fight.

I'm not too into eels either, but I saw this really nice Peacock Eel at a lfs that I'm very tempted on getting. Nice markings on that eel!

Nice eel. I have 3 different species of eels in my tank. As long as you keep them fat and plenty of place to hide you wont have any problems. I have 4 peacocks, 2 tire tracks, and 2 fire eels. If you watch him enough you will see him change color (i mean lighter to darker) :headbang2

The aggression isnt so bad today, its just that the tire track is dominating the fire and pushing him out of his hiding spots for fun wherever he goes.
As of right now the fire eel just buried under the sand and thats that for now I guess.

Theres really only one good hiding spot for an eel in that tank anyway so I will have to make some more.

I know the pics dont show size very well but this guys about 10"+
