I got the old ruler out for the first time last night while taking these.
The blue (Balu) is 13inches and the green (Kina) is 13 to 14 inches now.

Thanks fellas for the very nice comments :nilly: , they are nearly two years old now.
A nice chap on another forum asked for a full tank shot and in the process Kina the green stay still long enough for me to get some shots of her :)
Kina is the fat lady channa in the bottom two pics and closest in the top pic

I have to say your pleuros are BY FAR the best I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of them. I had a group of 4 last year and I traded them into Wharf Aquatics and the next time I went down they told me they sold within an hour!!! They we colouring up and ranged from 9" to 11". It's the only group of fish I really regret selling and still think "why did I do it", but I am sure everyone has had that experience at one time or another, unfortunately.
Look forward to seeing more pics as they get even bigger....

Can you give us all any advice on taking photos? Based on what you've posted. Type of camera, shutter speeds, how to avoid glass reflection etc etc.

I find it hard getting sharp focus photos myself. The best results I get are with the flash off and on auto. The shutter speed is still a bit slow so for most of my shots where a fish is moving I physically track the fish with the camera to stop the fish blurring.
I also wait untill it's dark outside, this stops reflections.
The camera is a sony DCH something
whitelineracer i noticed you had feeders in with your snakheads .do you keep a constant supply in with them so they can feed when they want or do you just put them in at a set feeding time. i have 2 reds and i buy my feeders at 50 a time and keep them in a sepreate tank.... i think they may become obese if they can feed at any time . what do you think ????

Those goldfish went in with three others last May or June due to my channa refusing to eat for 2 weeks. They ate three then decided after lots of hassle that frozen prawns may not look as nice but do indeed taste better :)
They were at a stage when the bloodworm wasn't rocking their boat anymore and they wanted something bigger but were not too sure what.
Those goldfish are great cleaners though, even stealing food from the channa. But the Pleuros just look at them like a Dragon would a brainless sheep, it's pretty funny.
wow thay sound like the ideal channa to have if you want to add something else.ive got two reds and have no chance of adding any thing else

If they are brought up on non live food you may have a chance
but would it be fair. it would be like keeping me from my beer:irked: :irked: :nilly:

LMAO!!
What they don't know won't hurt them..... just don't let on that normal fish get to chase and chomp wriggly stuff.
