I resued this guy from the sink bottom at work. He had been in there for an hour, with no water. What is it?

Thanks shulace, you are right. It's a sweet fish. He has some mechanism by which he can stick to the glass. Now I know what to feed it.

All gobies have the ability to stick to glass thanks to a set of fused pelvic fins.

You may also be interested to know that the goby family (Gobiidae, go figure) is one of the largest families of fishes. Over 2,000 species. Some of the smallest vertebrates known to man are gobies.
Alright, I'll stop showing off now. :)

Did you know that if you packed all of the people in the world into the state of Texas, it would still be less densely populated than New York is right now?
Damn Moderator show off. LOL

Greenbanded goby... easy to keep , but prefers cooler water... if you have any other goby like signal , yellow watchman... etc (except neon goby) they will fight or get busted by them ...so do not buy then if you have another gobies or jawfish that shares same kind of habitat ...
I read that I can keep other Green Banded Gobies, and they will breed. I will stay away from other similar fish.
