Y'all did great identifying my Raiamas, and my Leporinus moralesi... but I'd love to have the next two identified.
First : is a funky Leporinus - 6 inch range - Basically just a silvery gray fish. A hint of darker silvery gray banding. With a yellow throat. These are his NORMAL, HAPPY colors. Bands are pretty wide - so that the gray/silver / gray/silver banding is pretty even throughout, but basically the whole fish looks a single washed-out gray silver color. C'mon guys - the yellow throat has to be a dead giveaway for something!
Second - another funky fish - a barb type. Visualize a checker barb on steroids. He is pretty streamlined 3 1/2 inch range (he is obviously a baby) silvery, black checkered pattern throughout, with a dark gray lateral stripe. Dorsal fin is like a Tinfoil's - red tipped with black.
The barb type is surprisingly aggressive - bossing small jellybean convicts and tilapias around.
