Mine is now close to 5 inches after what, 2 months or so? The two tailspots have turned a flame orange.

Did any of you other isalinae owners notice the same thing?

Probably not isalinae at this point the red in mines tail has faded to almost yellow almost no stripes left and they are much to big

I am guessing at about 8-10 inches we will have a better idea what species was imported

might even be falcirostris from a different location?

That display stripes as juvy's

recent pic of my biggest around 5 inches
he is a bit bigger now and has almost no red in his tail

you could grow em in a 125 gal for about a year or so(they grow very fast while young) but because of their incredible speed and their feeling of claustrophobia to house adult barracudas I'd recommend a tank atleast 2 feet wide. They say you can house them in smaller tanks but thats why they have shy fish problems.

Oh and be very careful while accumulating Aces to your tank they're very sensitive to poor water quality

My falcirostris had faint stripes and a reddish upper tail fin when they were young....just like in your picture.....but it all faded away and turned yellow with time...but your fish dosnt look like a yellow tailed falcirostris....wrong snout and fins.....????....first pic is mine now.....second is a young falcirostris....these fish are hard to figure out....
