Hey! Guess what I just got? TWO Chinese high finned banded sharks. They are about 5-6 inches now... I read that they can reach up to 2-3 feet. These are COLD water fish?!? Temps from 65-78 degrees.... I getting the pics together.... very cool :woot:

Yes, these fish are coldwater, really cool cyps... very active! Used to have a 7", but my ATF decided to split him in half!! :( Might pick up a trio of them for my upcoming tank tho. :) Enjoy!

Thanks! Yours is great.. the background is more white... mine have more of a yellow tint... here is a pic. If it doesn't show up... it is in my gallery. I am still trying to figure out how to move pics around on this site!

steve, how expense are they where you live? I paid $44.00 for the small one and $66.00 for the bigger one. I thought it was a little rich... but you know how that goes... HAD to have it :swear: :jaw: :jaw-dropp

Tami, yours have more color than most. I read that there's more than one subspecies. The one commonly seen is a creamy-pink color, but yours looks like the rusty-orange type. I heard these guys are endangered but in recent years they seems easier to get. I think they farm-breed them now. Very cool pick-up! :thumbsup:

How big can these "sharks" get to?
I have seen them pretty big but didnt know if all got big or not...
