Picked up 4 x 6-7" thinbars yesterday to add to my 4 x 3.5". 8 thinbars. I'm one happy man. got the 4 big boys in the big tank and the 4 little ones are still growing out with some clown loaches. Got one pic of the big guys and will take more as they settle in but they seem pretty stable.
damn nice pick up. are they being housed with your auranti?

Yeah, i ripped out all the gravel and plants, stuck in 40 kilo's of wood and a thin layer of black gravel. You can see a full tank shot and stocklist in the photo lounge under the title "from green to mean..."

They were supposed to be 60 quid each but thanks to george aka pufferxtreme i got 4 for 160 quid. Not sure if that's a good price or not but you never ever see decent size dats round here so i'm well happy. There's also 2 x 6" indo's for 70 quid and if they're still about in a couple of weeks I'll get them too

nice! congratz on the pickup!
when decent sized thinbars were abundant a few years ago they were going for around £40-£60 which was about the same for indos at those sizes so a fair price imo.
The one in the photo looks great. Congrats!

Got all 8 thinbars together now and they've got so much more active, the new guys aren't eating yet but they seem pretty stable so hopefully they'll start eating now they got the hungry little guys with them. anyone tell me what's the best diet for them. here's a couple of pics:
