i have a 100 gallon tank and i want some senegal bichirs, tiger fish, and oscars. how many of each fish should i get. i might upgrade but i just want to know how many of each fish for now. thanks

Well that size tank do you plan on upgrading to? 120g? 200g? 1000g? There's waaaaay too many variables to even begin to think of an answer to your question.

all those fish get huge and 100g is not enough i would get one of each than upgrade.

by tiger fish does you mean african tiger fish? if so they get supper big and mean. go with the bichir. maybe a jag and a polleni

two oscars could be in the 100 gallon as long as you had good filtration

Think its best to keep the African Tiger Fish by its self, its just too hyper and aggressive and will probably tear the holly shibby out of the rest of its tank mates.

A good rule of thumb is 1" of fish for every 2 gallons of water. Be sure to take into account the fish will grow. You don't want to excede 50 inches of fish in a 100g tank.

But the rule takes a turn when you're talking about large bodied fish. for each inch of fish you would need three gallons of water to take care of the ammonia load. Yeah, remember they do grow . Oscars definately pretty quickly. :D Susie
