In the fish section LOL
Ok here is the situation,
i have 3 baby pbass mayb 3" at the most in a 29 gallon GROWOUT i went to the lfs and noticed a divider in one of their tanks made out of egg crate, from home depot so i was wondering if it would be benifical to go out and get some egg crate to divide my 150 SA/CA cichlid tank so that the babies would have some more room. Another concern is that 1 will the fish that are already in there have enoguh room they include 1 8 inch jd 1 12" oscar 1 17" purruno and 3 5 inch bllod parrots. The tank has great filtation. Would this transfer to the bigger tank be any better then just leaving them in the 29 until they are
6" to transfer into the main tank? If it is better to transfer them then tell me why plz.
:)

You could just make sure that the eggcrate is stable and won't get knocked over by your oscar. And make sure the pbass can't fit throught the holes. I usually just grow my fish in a 55 then a 75 then to my 180.

at 3 inches they will be fine in a 29 for some time..once they are big enough to be in the 150..then you can move them..

i wouldnt do the divider just yet.. you have some big fish in the 150..if the 17 inch purruno was to knock into it..well..it wouldnt be pretty

just be patient..they grow very fast if well fed

Even if you divide that tank in half they would have 36x18" room. You might as well leave them in the 29 which is probably at least 30x12. Plus eggcrate dividers get knocked down very easily by large fish.
