...Has any one else noticed their dats lip locking like this?! These two keep doing it! For the past 15 minutes or so they have been doing this but as soon as I walk up to the tank I spook them so this is the only pic I could manage. As soone as I leave they are back at it! They also keep rubbing up against each other and circling each other. Very funny to watch actually.

Havnt seen that behavior. Their colors seem really intense when they do this though.

Ive got 15 of those baby Indos and their colors are all great and really stable, not just when they do that.

Its bare...
I let my babies out of their plastic critter keepers (Im keeping them in there so they dont get snatched up by my bichir) to stretch their fins and they are so funny! I have some monster loaches in there and I witnessed one of my little 1" dats headbutting the 6.5" loach in the side! The loach didnt even act like anything was going on. It was great!

I wanna say their fighting... my blood parrots use to do that all the time... be careful with that... next thing you know you'll have a blind datnoid (if you know what I mean)...

they're fighting for territory, which looks like your intake tube. i have found indos to be the nastiest dats. ngt's will kick arse to get another one out of the way, but my indo will pick another dat and pester him for minutes at a time.

i have a real bull on my hands. as soon as i drop the brine in the tank he'll eat whats around him. and when he sees the other try to eat he begins to chase them away from THEIR spot. its knda cool because i have 3 of them and they kind work as a team, the 2 that always gets bullied that is. when he chases one, the one that isnt being chased eats his share. then he causes a diversion for the other to eat.
