I never actually saw what was the deal with these fish. Well, today i was driving around and stopped by at the LFS and i saw a 4 inch dat and that thing was awesome! The one I saw had the typical black stripes with a yellow metallic color (and here i thought they only came in flat colors). Also, that Dat was playful as hell, i think i spent about 30 min playing with it. Damn i wish i had an extra aquarium for it or else i would have bought him :nilly: .

Dats are cool. There's a lfs around here that have a few Thin Bars that I want, but I have no room either.

well its only one, and the thing had the perfect personality. i am pretty sure i can hand feed the sucker and kiss my hand or something. the thing is, he is the only one in that tank too, so i am not sure how long he is going to stay here. What is the minimum gallons these things should be in? what is the max length they can get up to? :(

are they dirty like pacu's?

Dats are not dirty. I love mine, can't wait until the little monsters grow up.
