betta fish breeding please help...

hi everyone. i have a male and female betta fishes. i want to breed them but i don't know much infos about the breeding part. my male is turning 3 yrs old on May (i know he's a bit old for a betta) do u think he can spawn a female? my female is 8 months old. i put them in a separate bowl. what should i do? thanks everyone :)
 
First question is, is your male making a bubble nest still? If so then he is still able to breed.

;) i've heard when you put them into the same bowl(tank).the male will bet up on her to impress her.in time she'll drop her eggs and the male will make are bubbles at the top to put them in.TAKE HER OUT SOON AS SHE IS DONE DROPPING HER EGGS OR SHE WILL :owned:........... no, none of that is true, if ur betta is 3 years old, it's impossible to breed it now. its like a 20 year old girl doin it w/ a 40 year old man.*if ur 3 year old betta is larger than ur female then forget it. jus get a new smaller one.okay?
 
my male is a bit larger than my female and they still did their thing

who told u that? that so not right.
and even ur quotation is not right.
A 20yrs OLD GIRL can and will still get pregnant over a 40yrs OLD MAN.

but seriously, will the male become aggressive towards other fish in the tank? im thinking about adding a female to my tank and i have 3 cories and an otto in there as well.
