Here is a pict of my new dat I got from Alex at Aquascape. What do you think?
I will post some full tank shots when he gets use to the tank. His color is washed out now.:headbang2

He did look good! His black is a little faded now. I made the tank dark to let him adjust.

He was $75 then there was shipping. :) a lot!

That one is a nice size. It'll color up once settled. Mine still get faded from time to time.

He is about 6". I paid $25 more for that extra inch. I think it is worth it!
thats nice looking thin bar, i wish i could find some that size here.

Oh I thought you were making fun of it...lol
It is a iridescent shark. I love it they never sit still. THey kinda look like a shark. They get huge in the wild like 8' or something, I personally have never seen one in an aquarium over 2'.

You know, they really do, don't they. I'm fairly new to the Dat world and after seeing them in person I was hooked right away. I'm setting up my Dat tank soon and I can't wait!!

I am new to Dat's too. I love them. THey seem to hide alot...I dont know if this is normal...Maybe not adjusted to my tank yet. They seem real territorial anything comes near his hiding spot and out he comes chasing them away!

Possible stress from tankmates? See a dempsey along with that long yellow w/blk stripe fish (forgot the name) but it's known to be a fin nipper.

I tested my water and it was perfect! The Yellow striped fish Leporinus is a fin nipper, but the day before I noticed any time anything came near my Dat that HE would chase them away...That is why I said they are territorial. Either he jsut died or the Pacu or leporinus killed him.. SUCKS $150 DOWN THE DRAIN AND A AWESOME FISH!
