Does anyone else feel a pang of regret that Snowy is going to Japan? Honestly? I do. It just feels like he belongs either in Australia, as a symbol, or in the U.S. No offense to the Japanese, I can't help this emotion I'm feeling with finding out he's being sent off to Japan. Kind of like sending somebody away, knowing you'll never see him again.

Correct me if i'm wrong...

But i think he is a US$50,000 Albino AUL (and i think he was originally advertised for double that figure?)

I agree with both of you, actually. Snowy, ideally, would best be in Australia. But if he is to go somewhere, Japan is as good a bet as the US. I don't even think it's a money issue. There are a lot of rich people everywhere. Maybe, it just so happened that the ones in Japan are the ones willing to spend their money on Snowy.

Why does he belong in Australia, was he bred here or something.

Hey bro, I have to disagree with you. I am Australian and I think it is great snowy is going to Japan. I am sure who ever gets him will look after him very, very well. Japanese have a great dedication to this hobby.

In Australia the lung fish over here is one of the rarest species and is so close to extinction.

No offence to you in particular santoury but why the US?? There is absolutely no reason for it to go there over japan. If its happy and well looked after i couldnt care less if it went to Ethiopia over the US. Ppl in the US seem to think everything should be theres. Its sorta funny.

I dont think it really matters. You know its going to be looked after over there, but i'm sure most people willing to buy it would look after it very well. If it's been bred once it can be bred again.

I seriously laughed in pity that it should be in
1. australia
2. USA?
3. rest of world.

Bloody hell

It is albino, this is a genetic condition. It will continue to remain white barring physical altering such as injection with dye or scars from disease.

It's not an Albino it is creamy color leucistic, when Gorden had it up for sale he claimed that the color would change a little as it got older.(more yellow)
