Grow them out together yes. But i wouldn't recomend to many more cichlids as tankmates, throw in a Midas or something. Make sure there are plenty of dithers to take the aggression and maybe a couple of plecos.

I currently have 7 Red Terrors a synspilum, butterkoferi, Jag, Nicaraguense and a channel cat in my 125 and no aggression problems. They are all 4.5-6", the RT's will be moving soon to attempt breeding but pretty much they are all fine together. Aggression reduction with overpopulation works it just takes more work from you.

Those might work except the green terror. Imo, it'll get owned once they all start to mature.

definetly agree with dithers! but i dont kno bout plecos! theyd make good dithers and whatever but they leave behind huge amounts of biowaste! so you could have plecos but u'd need a lot w/c

just because that many fish will fit in the tank and its true they could spread the aggression out (unless they decided to just go down the line weakest to strongest) your fish arent goin to be nearly as happy or healthy pick a couple you like add some interesting dithers and cleanup crew and enjoy :)

What person a thinks is overstocked, may not be........
ammerman19 & repair are a great example of how "spread the aggression" can and will work with the right filtration....
Watch yer back if you hear a "crikey" LOL!
I Smell a Irwin batch comming on!

Not Due to aggression but by my own mistake, yeah, I have had a loss, I just screwed up and more or less sent 2 of 4 young Salvini to there death, but that was my stupid azz mistake. as for aggression between my guys? Nothing more than a chase here and a flare there.
Water Changes and Over Filteration! Unless you are like repair and have a 1 million gallon drip system! LOL!

I did weekly water changes on my tanks for almost 2 years. I had 25+ tanks so I was changing water almost every day of the week so I got lazy and set up the drip system..... did you know that watching fish is more fun then changing water?

What size of a tank is that? I got a 180 gal and hope to set up a 650 gal fiberglass tank soon (check my avatar). I'm very interested in your drip system. Can you please give some details? Thanks,
Dan

what is a drip system
rallysman
03-24-2007, 1:57 PM
It's a system that works as a constant slow water change. It drips new water into the tank while old water drips out. It eliminates you from doing water changes.
