The "green" the is money, our money here in the states is green. Yes it cost me 200 dollars plus my 3 RBPs for the Black arowana. The Ps were 6-7" and did not fit well in the 65g tank I had them in, also would like to have a bigger shoal. Next year once I get my 300 gallon going and my aros settled into it, I will atempt to do a 120 gallon planted tank with 5-6RBPs

he traded his rbp + 200 greenbacks for a black arowana... nice pickup but i doubt i woulda made that trade. how much were they asking for the black without a trade?

and if u want a bigger shoal, go with more then 5 or 6, i have 9 in my 100gal and it seems like so much more with only 3 more. adds way more movement, way more frenzy. with a 120gal i'd go with maybe 10. and remove 1 or 2 later if it looks crowded.

Yea I wouldn't of made the trade. Too much plus the 3 rbp. You can get blacks at like 16-18 inches for like 200 on line or on aquabid.

Asking price was $250. Yes you can get better price online, but then you will also have to include the cost of shipping. Also there is a certain conveinence to picking up the fish on your own time. For me to have a fish shipped it is likely I would have to take a day off from work. So then a $150 fish online ends up costing me $400-$500

Nice Aro!

I keep looking at this school of Jardini in South Philly. Yes a school like 100 in a raceway tank 4-5" and keep saying "Not Yet":)

Very nice Aro! You did what you wanted and that is enough.. I would trade 30 Piranhas ( a 100 ) for an aro, any aro..

Enjoy!!!:) :)

how much are RBPs worth? or should i say how much do they cost in the lfs?

we don't get them here so i wouldn't know.

Ya I possibly could've got more for them if I sold them. I bought them a year ago off craigslist for 5 bucks each. Last month we had a guy here in Co. That had a hard time getting rid of his at 5 bucks each, he ended up selling all 18 for $50. Plus there is some question to the legality of RBPs here in Co.

As for the price of the Black aro...well I feel it was fair, so I'm happy.
