I went to the LFS and got a few snails. Most were like all the others but one was different. I know a picture would help buit I can't get a good one. It has two eyes that come up out of the end of the shell and what I would describe as an elephant trunk that it uses along the bottom. It has a arm that comes out with what appears to be a hard end to it (almost claw like). If any one has any ideas or links to pictures let me know. Thanks

theres a little misnomer with some type of conch:
it either that fighting conches don't fight
or diamond conches are ugly as hell
i'll check into it.

Fighting conchs arent agressive hence the confusion. They get their name from their defense strategy. They have a sharp plate on their foot and will swing it at predators. They dont fight each other though.
