any of you guys ever keep these or spawn them? if so what are some signs of them preparing to spawn?

I have never spawned them but I would guess there courtship is similar to other Cichlids. Like the male dancing around the female both fish being more aggressive and staking out a prime spot to lay eggs. Does it look like yours are prepairing to make some little Snook?

yes they look that way alot of gill flaring and shaking i have also noticed a pit being dug out near a log there is also some tail slapping toward the other cichlids in the tank

thats cool what i was hoping for. also do any of you guys know were i can pick up a normal green snook?

I dont see the normal color Snook very often I think they are in low demand. I would contact Jeff Rapps and Tangled Up In Cichlids (www.tangledupincichlids.com) see if he has any swimming around.

there is a picture of the green ones in the article about the 2400 gallon gigas tank.
