Anyone keeping them?
Anyone have some large ones?

What's the biggest/oldest anyone's seen?

The largest one that I have ever seen live was about half a year ago when I was working in this one fish store and one of our regular customers asked if he can bring in some fish that are just to big for his tanks. From a whole bunch of fish that he did bring in, there were 2 Iridescent Sharks at about 18" each.

There's one at this place in Maryland right off 270, and they have a HUGE CICHLID TANK.
There's is probably 15" at least.
I'm bad at guesstimating.

I'm kinda curious about life span. I've got 2 that are an easy 18" and 22" and they're about 14 years old now. Both are strong as an ox. Few months back I had a big red hook siver dollar peel the big ones scalp off, about 3" square section. 3 days later it was like it never happened.

I just got back from the shop. I was after some Tilapia fillets to give them a try. They had sold out but they had some river cobbler. River what? She said it was nice and gave us two fillets. I was walking how wandering what they were, when I found in tiny writing on the tag Pagasius Hypophthalmus... Thats some type of catfish isnt it? Just googled...you guessed it...

I have had one of these fishes for a year. When i got it, it was less then 2", now it is 7" long. Now it lives in 86 g tank and i am going to get bigger one soon. I like this fish a lot, it looks like shark and is really cool. It is not so nervous as i haved read from the internet. Maybe i am just lucky.

My ID is 25" long, I have owned him for 15 years. He is about 17 years old he was 10" when I bought him. When he was young he was skittish and always swam up against the glass. I believe they do this to make a current around themselves. He swims into the filter outake alot now. I have read a few people posting the same mannerism. I recently put him in a black plastic 200 gallon pond. He is no longer skittish and swims around the pond. He is still growing. 2+ inches after a year in the pond. I also have a 17" imperial, 4 years old and a 8 month old at 8". Picture of "Blue" in my avatar.

i gathered 5 photos of huge pacu on my hubpage, which is sort of like a myspace page but for adults. Monsterfish keepers accused me of spamming but i assure you i dont get paid for you visiting my hubpage. I only post hubs about fish because it is my passion. Here is the link if you want to read my article and look at the pictures [removed by staff]
