Thank you for the compliments. The goby is actually an easy subject to take picture since it would stand still for you.
It is about 8-inch long right now. Quite a monster that would take anything from guppy culls to earthworms to big chunk of meat or shrimp.
Bought it by "accident" a while ago when he was a "cute, little 2-inch white fish that likes to rest on the bottom" LOL

Guppy said in the voting thread that the pic was taken be someone who is not a board member, and the member who submited it did not have the permisson from the owner; so it was sorta "double fault"....

Yes the right equipment does help a lot. However, they don't have to be expensive as price of good digital cameras had come down quite a bit (cheaper that some of the fish shown around here ;). I really wish that I had some those really cool fish (that I had never seen in my LFS) for photographing them

No, it's not a real tree, but a fake, hollowed one made from resin(sp?) that US Petmart store chain usually sell...
It looks pretty realistic with hair algea growing on it, but other plants (such as javaferns) won't be able to set root on it as for real wood...
