one quick question. the black rhob. they get really big I know. the question I have is you can only keep 1 in the tank, or they will kill each other. why? is it becaus e the are territorial, they must live together in the wild, or they wouldn't exsist. if you have a really big tank say 500 gallons do you think you can put in about 6 of them. or in time would you only have 1 left.. this has been a question of mine for a long time. and it seems that no one can answer it. any help would be great.

andy,
they are territorial and aggressive so they would mostlikly kill eachother leaving only one or one injured one that may die as well

if you want more then one you should have at least 1000gals++++

in nature they live together (in same water not as groups) but they dont group and they also have like a billion gallons to swim and if they meet in nature they have places to hide and get away from eachother where in aquaruims they dont so the weeker or less agressive one has no where to run so it gets killed

How many red bellies do you think would go comfortably in a 75 gallon tank? maybe 5-6? Just curious because I kept them years ago and remember them being really beautiful and actually sensitive fish.

i would say 3 imo but i think you have to keep them in shoals of 6? not sure im not a piranha expert but i had 2 in a 75 and one ate the other....forgot to feed them before i went to school.
