i was thinking a tire track. i researched them but had mixed results. i know they get long but since they are so flexible and dnt swim much maybe theyll be ok in a tank only 18" wide?

Tire track eels are prettier IMO, but dont they hide in the gravel or sand, w/e is on the bottem? Why not a smaller bullhead of some sort? is that one in your picture to the left? or a tadpole madtom. they are kind of small though

Fire eels are even better looking IMO.

pecock might get eaten theres a thread some where of a pike eating a big fire eel i would go with tire track or fire eel just make sure there big enough the tank would last a while any way if they do out grow it they can get big thow
and there are a few catfish you could try
1 sun catfish (just like a bullhead only shyer and yellow)
2 a pictus of some kind
3 lima shovel nose mabye
theres plenty more but i can't think of very meny right now

One of the larger fancy plecos like a royal or scarlet.

Haha I already have gotten 2 of the suggested bottom feeders since this thread was started, Lima Shovelnose and bullhead catfish. And I'm happy with my tank and it's current stock, Thanks anyways though.
