Well it's not the biggest but i'll post mine. I have a 75 reefready with a 30 gallon sump. It is a SPS and Clam reef. When I move I am going to upgrade to a 240 or 180 reefready.

I was thinking the same thing. I would have loved to see pics of that.
Anyway, my SW is a 125. The scary thing is when I bought it I thought it was HUGE (upgrading from a 55 gallon a long time ago) and now I look at it with 6 fish in it and it looks like a refugium to me. :grinno:
Damn this addiction!!!! I'm never going to be able to retire because I can't justify saving money versus buying ]V[ore

On Shark & Ray Central there are a few members with very large tanks ranging from 1,000 gallons - 36,000 gallons all which are built for sharks. Pretty cool set ups.

Gunny03 - Thanks. As far as the Smoothhounds go it depends which specimen your looking for. If your looking for a Pacific Specimen from California I would talk with Greg (Sharkdealer), if your looking for an Atlantic Specimen I would speak with John (Sharkbait). If you are interested in prices, send me a PM and I can get those for you and set you up with their emails.

I might get a smooth hound but first Im going to set up my 72 gal bow front without a shark in it. Then in about 1 month Ill start up a lagoon/pond to put a shark in. I decided that it would be better to wait till I have the pond setup so I dont have to stress the shark out which could kill it. Im going to either by a small above ground pool, or build a frame and put a pond liner over that. Then Ill use this to filter it http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=5332&N=62728+113343 i might use a sand filter not sure

Bernie Marcus has the biggest Salt Water tank - 6 million gallons and right now has 3 whale sharks and thousands of other fish - probably doesn't count because it is the Georgia Aquarium - but he paid for it!

I forgot about this thread!
I don't think he counts...not because of it being an aquarium...but I'd bet money he wouldn't have a clue how to operate it.
As per the request for pics of said tanks, here's our 500,000:

Wow, I didn't know Georgia Aquarium had the biggest one. You think it would be able to keep a great white shark longer than the Monterey Bay could?

GA is tropical. Whites prefer cooler temps since they actually maintain a warmer body temp that the water they are in. Plus it still has verticle edges which is what the real issue is. There is only one tank underway that I know of for whites that will house them well (at least on paper). And it will be popping up in the place you'd least expect it.

We are presently designing a 8 million gallon tank in the Orient. Total amount of water for the whole park is 20 million gallons - one of the tanks will be tentively a great white.

After reading the notes, I clearly don't have the biggest sw tank - just an 85 gallon bowfront rena tank, which houses some nice coral, 1 lionfish, a mandarin fish & a three damsels. Did also house a large six banded angel, but I think it had a disagreement with the lionfish......!
