Can some1 give me some info on Wolf Fish, I saw one and i really liked it. Can the be kept with oscars, clown knifes, plecos, well just read the 100g thing in my signature. the ones i saw were about 3inch and the smallest thing in my tank is the Eletric Blue at 5in

Wolf fish are pretty aggresive, and depending on what species you get the vary on size, you should keep these guys alone especially when they are older. It'll eat everything

chuck - will be fine in your tank until it hits about 9 inches or so. Until then they are not very aggressive at all. They just sit there.

I;m talking about hoplias, erythrinus are meant to be aggressive early on.

which species of wolf are we talking about? wolf tetra? hoplias?

not sure my LFS had them labled as "wolf fish" thats it. There were three. all looked same xcept 1 was a lighter color than others and would follow my finger around the tank. the were 42.50$ is that a good, bad, or normal price for one??????????

try this site. this is about the rainbow wolf. just picked one up bad@$%. by himself though.

i have one about 6" I paid 30$ for mine but Im cool wiht my lfs he never charge me full price he is a rainbow wolf by the way

Ya it is a high fin rainbow wolf. and guess wut. I BOUGHT IT. couldn't resist. the owner said that this was first time he has gotten one in in 2 years.

Bad idea, as said they're aggressive early on. They gouged you with the price too... :(

That is a bit overpriced. :grinyes:

i think the price is high because he dosen't see them that much. like i said b4 first time he has had in 2 years.

Thats a pretty good deal isnt it? The cheapest I found was $37.00
