Would a common pleco go into hibernation along with my goldfish in my pond during the upcoming winter?
Anybody know how cold a common pleco can tolerate its h2o?
FYI It only gets down to about 50 degrees here in Cali. :)

pond is only about 4 feet deep, but plenty of hiding spots and well circulating water.

plecos are tropical fish, i wouldnt do it, my neighbor ( who moved into the same house that i use to live)
had a pond which use to be mine, and he bought some baby plecos and had the min theri during winter, he lost most of them except one, which i offered to baby sit for the winter in my 40 gal, he agreed and in early summer i asked if he was ready to get it back, he said i could keep it :D . I Had that same pleco for about 4 years, and i still have him today
so plecos don do to well in cold water, such as winter pond water.
you can keep it in pond during summer and spring as long as the water dont fall below 70.
