I've been looking for an oddball for my 135 cichlid tank. I have 2 oscars, 1 green terror and 1 green severum. Are there any knives that would do good in there? thanks

CK's would do fine. Are your other fish mature? If so you will need to keep the knife seperate until he is atleast as big as the Oscars are. CK's are timid and fragile when very young.

No, they range from 2 - 3 inches. So, would I be ok adding a 4 inch CK or should I wait until the other fish mature and add one of equal size?

it's probably safer to add one while they are small i currently keep a royal clown with my oscars and he/she is just getting to the same length as them but still spends lots of time in his pipe which the oscars can't get into, although over the last week he has started to come out abit more.Must be getting brave!!!:D

Off to the LFS to see if there's anything decent. Thanks for the info.

You could try a Black Ghost Knife and keep with the SA theme.

Why not try with a couple of synodontis nigriventis. Just be sure they got a cave or something to hide in. To me really an "oddball" fish!:headbang2
