I found some Labeo variegatus for $20.

How rare are these guys? Should I jump on one?

The price sounds about right but beware they are pretty aggressive as juviniles and can be very aggressive when adult (they max out at about 12in).

Here's a pic of mine about 5in

Your fish is gorgeous! Quite different from the bright gold/yellow/black marbled juvies. How old is yours? Yes, they did seem quite combative with one another.

WHAT IS THAT BEHIND HIM??????? That looks like my "unidentified fish" that I have yet to identify. Nobody on MFK can figure it out... (The silver fish with black stripe)

I just picked one up yesterday, he's a cool little guy. I paid 12.99 for him. Good looking little one you have there.

Hey man
Do all Osteo. wandersii have red fins? Mine have clear fins, but otherwise looks pretty much alike.

Also, if that is in fact what I have, are they rare? Max size?

Where do I get all these rare fish? I just look for "oddballs" in feeder tanks :)
