repost, and i have a feeling it's a tilapia, and we have all eaten them, so don't get fenzied about it. i also have a feeling that dats aren't good eating.

looks kinda like a dat, but its mouth structure looks un-datlike to me.

The big issue is that the fish is still alive. They cut the whole side out of it and put it back in the tank!! I have no issue with what they are eating...I'm just not a fan of the treatment.

It's not a datnoid. Due to parasite concerns, only SW fish are used for raw sushi/sashimi. That's why unagi, FW eel, is always cooked. That's also why only SW salmon/sake are used.

It's in Japan. Japan has a different view of animal life compared to how we look at things here. It sucks to see for us, but it's probably normal, amazing, or not a big thing for them to see. Anyways, this was posted awhile back and it was determined that it wasn't a Datnoid. I forgot what kind of fish it was, but it's a saltwater fish.

That fish must've been in so much pain consider it's in salt water.
