My dat recently died having symptoms of rapid breathing and lethargy a problem some dat owners have had, which they couldn't resolve the problem. i found a few people on different forums lost their dats from this.
Anyways i thought i'd show you some pics of his swollen gills which later i found out it was called gill hyperlasia which may onset from previous diseases or parasite infestation.

Cheers guys,
Bit sad, first one iv'e owned and they are really hard to get over here havent seen one in years small one can cost up to $375 AUD.

Any way found some information on this condition but its definitelfy hard to beat, once it gets to the advance stage they're pretty much a goner.

Hope this helps other dat owners out there
