I had just gotten done taking out 40% of water out of all my tanks when my Python broke! had to use my backup my back and a 5 gallon bucket.

that sucks! my lfs is less than 25 minutes away. I would have paid their high price and saved my back. one way or another you were going to pay for it.

ive had connectors breakers (ecspecially the faucet one)

its a piece of ****, its made so u come back for more parts

I've had a connector break for me mid change as well. Talk about a major pain in the ass. Luckily I managed to get to my LFS before it closed...

i do all my water changes with a bucket

The fix is to replace that soft plastic part with a hard plastic or brass hose end cap from the hardware store you will have to drill a 3/4 hole in the middle of it tho-Anne
