I was laying down some outdoor ant killer (its called terro, bag of small granuals) as i was fillings some 5 gallons from my outdoorfilter for my aquariums. I was reading the back and under the enviornmental hazards it read,
"This product is extremely toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water. Drifts and runoffs from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in treated areas. do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters."
I thought that was good to know since the summer heat is coming to cali soon. I would guess most of you get ants inside and out just like do. I even catch them near my tanks often, let alone around my room and all over outside. I would think its more a caution to those who have OUTDOOR PONDS like i do. I could easily see the runoff getting into a pond, or a parent laying it in an area without knowing its damage. Just a lil info.
