Here are the latest update pics of my two micros, lost one three weeks ago after fighting - these two are fine. Also added a Hemibagrus wyckii two weeks ago. It was added on the basis it was going to be 10"+, it was actually 8.5", it's very chunky bodied though with great caudal extensions and white edges. I think it might grow as fast as the micros, it certainly puts them to shame with the volume of prawns and earthworms it eats! My only nervous moment was the first night when they both curiously approached it's cave from above, it responded by swimming right up to both of them and biting them on the face! No trouble with any of them since. Yes, it is a gamble as they are both top predators, but I am hoping that a lot of space, good feeding and being acclimitised to each other will avert disaster, perhaps, perhaps not, only time will tell.

It may put them to shame with the volume of prawns and earthworms it is eating, why not try live feeders? You would say the other way around.

Beautiful Giant Snakeheads, congrats and sorry about the loss. Keep us updated.;)

You may well be correct, but I'm not going down that road, they only got live feeders for their first 3 days after I got them to kick start feeding, now it's prawns, earthworms and whitebait, I don't want the risk of disease.
