Well tomorrow I'm going fishing in Eastern WA. I finally got Fishminded to buy a fishing license so now I have a fishing buddy that lives nearby to go fishing with. I like to fish for bass but with out a real bas boat you can't fish good lakes like lake WA.

You can always try Green Lake. They pretty much have everything in there. But I wouldn't eat anything from there. LOL

Pretty much right at the heart of seattle.

But i did some running around with some friends.
Lake wilderness...your not gonna catch much...and even if you do. Expect to sit there for HOURS.

Ceder River/Koulon(sp) Park
Good amount of fish, decent size.
Would catch a fish 1-2mins after i throw the line in.
Saw a guy have a bucket full of 6-8" trout or pearch. Forgot, in less then 4hours.
The trick is knowing the right spots. Cause it changes ALOT.

Lake washington/Seward Park.
Same thing. Place is too popular and too much people = not a relaxing fishing trip.

Still on the search for some more lakes.

I live in Washington and do a good amount of fishing.

There are some good fishing lakes here in the area but the best are east of the mountains.

What are you fishing for?

I do the salmon/trout/steelhead bit. Eff bass.

Try searching around on www.steelheader.net for good rivers, don't know to much about lakes. I've always had good luck on Lake Merridian in Covington just off the docks, they stock with a lot of triploids.

I do go over to Potholes and the resovoir when it isn't tick and rattle snake season to trout fish the seep lakes.

Im not really into game fishing. Im more of just laid back, relax and fish.

Could care less if i catch a 1lb bass or a 100lb cat. Aslong as im catching ALOT of fish, then im happy.

If we do it might have to be 2 different ones. A Western WA and Eastern WA Meet

We need to do one during Salmon Season. I've lived in WA for years and have never caught one yet :( They taunt me! Swimming and jumping in front of me but never bite!!!!!

Thats funny........ are you fishing them in the rivers or out in the sound?

We generally catch them in the rivers but its been a long time since I've caught them out in the Sound.

Rivers. I don't do Saltwater. I even go down to Aberdeen where there is less people to compete with and I STILL can't catch ****!

For salmon you need to go out of Ilwaco with a boat. Haven't not caught my limit (but I haven't been in a few years). I've also gone out in Lake Wenatchee for salmon. Columbia River for sturgen too.

Went out on the Green River today, had 3 rainbows in 3 casts, as did my brother. Total probably landed a dozen, too bad they were all fingerlings except for one 10". Using size 2-3 Mepps spinners.

I have a summer place on Lake Sawyer which is between Covington and Black Diamond. We catch nice small and bigmouth all day long, not bad for trout, and the occasional sunfish and crappie. The bass spawn under my dock every year. The ski boats have from 11am-3pm to do their thing so you gotta fish early morning or evening.

I lived on Lake Sawyer from 1987-1989. When I was knee high to a grasshopper, or whatever they say. Haven't fished it in 15 years or so.

I've heard good things about Sawyer but never really got a chance to fish it yet. Sounds like a very cool lake

It's a fun lake, you should make it there sometime. My place has been in the family since the 20's. Back then it was seriously "in the sticks". It's getting pretty crowded out there these days but still a lot of good fishing. Feel free to contact me and I'll point out a few hot spots.

Cool man!
I don't remember much of the 80's.
Too many things other than blood running through me back then!

Actually all muskie must be released, Same goes for Grass Carp. You get a hefty fine if F&W sees you taking them home.

Anyone in the Seattle are have a decent size boat with an outboard and want to fish Tapps?

I tried my little dinghy at my local lake an I couldn't even stand. The dinghy was shallow and the boat battery and motor pretty much almost made it sink to almost the water level!!!!!!!!

I think if I brought it to Tapps and fished in it, the muskie would haul my dinghy all over the lake!

My folks live on lake sawyer. I grew up on the lake and I'm either wakeboarding fishing or playing croquet 2 or 3 times a week. I live real close to there so my wife and I go to my parents to hangout a lot in the summer.

In fact my LMB and my smallie came from lake sawyer. If you hit the stocking week of triploids you will SLAM the trout day and night. Bass is pretty good. They just get hit so hard by a lot of fisherman. and in the right season the crappie are a lot of fun to catch.

oh yeah if you make it out on a weekday the boating 'fast' times are 1 to 7pm...weekends are 11am to 3pm. Other then these times there is a no wake rule.
