I used one for awhile on a reef system. Ozone is highly carosive. It breaks just about anything down to it's basic properties. (literaly like an acid bath and is toxic to all life in concentration) UV steralizers are comparable but not even close to presurized ozone's eficiancey. Run the efluant through carbon before it returns to the system to remove the excess ozone. Keep in mind that it smells alot like rain and will give you a headache if you are exposed to it in concentration. Used properly it is completely safe and very efective.

Anyone care to add to this as I am also thinking of getting one. Would it be a good idea to put one on a discus tank of 90gal or more? Or is it only for saltwater that it is put to good use?
