Well went to this years IMAC. Here is what I thought...
The speakers were great as usually. Anthony fragged a brain coral
MY booth was next to Anthony Calfo's so I got to talk to him casually. Really nice guy.
I visited Steven Pro and hung out with for a while. Another really nice guy to talk to. He is working on a greenhouse propagation project. Very cool.

I saw many vendors for hardware, supplements, and corals. I had great frags at the booth from our personal prop tanks and let a few other hobbyists we know sell some frags from our booth too. Got help people out when you can.
I talked to David Boruchowitz T.F.H. Magazine Editor in Chief for quite some time about writing an article on my Firemouth Cichlids. He even suggested that I send some fish to Aquamojo for him to take pics for a possible cover shot! I was really excited about that. We also talked about T.R. and what an asset it is to the magazine. He had the highest regards for the TR staff and website! We had other aquarium discussions and I loved our talk. Another great time at the show!
I also talked to the likes of Bob Fenner! Another great guy in the hobby. We discussed cichlids and his website...WetWebMedia. That man is full of stories from his hobby career and can tell you amazing things about dive trips! Some of which I can not post but were hilarious! I wish I had more time to talk with him but I wasn't the only person trying. It seemed like everyone wanted to talk to him!
The highlight of the show was shaking the hand of Martin Moe and talking/thanking him for all he has done for the hobby! For those of you that don't know Martin is an author of books like the Marine Aquarium Handbook and the Marine Aquarium Reference book. Both of which were Bibles to say the least in the late 80's. I went step by step thru my setups in 1989 with that book! He has also pioneered much in the way of Marine fish breeding. He was breeding marine fish in 1972!!!! He still breeds fish to this day! He is also very active in the Diadema Sea Urchin program in Florida. He breeds long spined black sea urchins and transplants the juveniles back on the reef where they were nearly destroyed by a plague in the mid 1980's. I told him how I ordered Tampa Bay Saltwater liverock and that 2 juveniles were on the rock! He was pleased to hear a report that the urchins were coming back! He was the guest speaker at the Banquet dinner so I talked to him there. What a great day!
Here are some pics from photographer Gary Parr. They are of our booth and the crew! We had a blast! The only drawback was there is a Las Vegas show this year and I think it hurt attendance some. :(
