a 2' long Lepidosiren paradoxa (http://www.deremate.com.ar/accdb/ViewItem.asp?Data=10219828|5625) is for sale. I was wondering if I could keep him in a 130g with a foot long black arowana.

Also: is there a different name for it? It does not seem to be too much info under that name.

Is this fish fun?

Thank you BB! Anybody else?

There is a filter in the tank that produces a bit of a current. Could it kill the lungfish?

I don't really know anything about lungfish, but this website (http://mbgnet.mobot.org/fresh/wetlands/animals/lungfish.html) for example claims they reach 4'.

The pic on this page (http://www.deremate.com.ar/accdb/ViewItem.asp?Data=10219828|5625) is not of the fish I am actually buying. The guy got it off the Internet. He says the fish is 2' long.

I will get it with a 8" Motoro ray for USD80. The two know each other and don't fight. He says...

Seems like a good deal.

In reality a South american lungfish (Lepidosiren paradoxa) will probably max out under 4 feet in home aquaria

For the record the smallest known species of lungfish is the gilled African lungfish (P. amphibius)2'-Anne

I would think it would be safe because of the different feeding zones. but ask the sales person to be sure.
