Only thing I can say is dont have Small fish in with them, dont have any Topwater fish that it may want to eat. Last wolf I had started fighting with a SH I had gotten from a friend. An pretty much just keep him fed so hes not hungry.

Yes, don't keep fish under his size or his size with him... Always bigger than him or it will be eaten ;)

It grows very fast and eats like a pig :)

Keep him well-fed if you want to keep him with tankmates...

I had a 19" wolffish a few years back that killed himself. I came in one day to find the weighted glass canopy of the aquarium shattered and the wolffish with a crushed head and blood flowing out of its gills. Big wolves have the ability to kill themselves with their own brute power, so keep that in mind when setting up their tank.

I had a wolf fish for five years, mean as hell, and when he wasnt killing something he was hiding, finally pawned it off on someone in exchange for a big pleco for the pond, on the other hand he was a cool looking fish!

They got fangs but they sit around at the bottom of the tank for most of its life.
I honestly dont see the appeal.

But i respect its postential for damage and understand why people want it.

One of the most enjoyable fish i owned.
Crazy as hell. Not too many fish can be kept with them, bigger or as aggressive

I was in a lfs the other day and i remember seeing 2 small wolves in a tank. I went back a couple of days later and i saw only one wolf in the tank, but he had a tail of the other wolf hanging out of his mouth. I wish i had my camera!
