Do you put salt in your freshwater tank for the sake of having salt? Not talking about meds either, just for the sake of having salt in your tank water?

Theres always been a debate whether or not to use salt in your water regardless of disease or not. Some say it occurs naturally in the wild so why not? Some say it only results in building resistance with diseases so why use it? Some say its only helpful for when disease strikes...etc.

What are your thoughts?

yeah, it's great tonic and good for osmoregulation

I sometimes do if I feel the fish are stressed or what not.
 
after reading up on many reasons not to put salt in water regularly, i only use it as medication.
