Hi, I have interest in TSN's and whud like some basik info on them. Thanke you and have a wonderfull day.:)

look at the first page of the monster catfish sticky at the top of the catfish forum section, and in the thread labelled rtc and tsn info thread

Plenty of good reading here, Just do a TSN search...........

Heres a few basics I can point out......

#1 Usually very skittish, dont like people poking around their tanks "or looking in"

#2 Personality wise, probably one of the worst catfish too own. I own 3 :screwy:

#3 Very aggressive eaters, hit their foods hard and fast.

#4 Very hardy, Hardier than RTC's in my opinion.

#5 One more time......VERY skittish, VERY aggressive eaters, USUALLY very hardy, They dont really have that "friendly" catfish attitude.

Thats just a couple of observations I've made in the last 15 years of keeping them. I currently have 3. I personally like the RTC X TSN cross better. The best of both fish ;)

JMO of course, I'm sure all fish can be different.

I would say NEVER get one. I have 2 and they are my favorite fish by far but you probably dont have a big enough setup and you probably dont know what it takes to feed them. These are VERY HUGE fish and CAN break though glass.

My guy really isn't very skiddish... I think I well furnished tank is a must with these guys though. But I have seen my share of broken snouts on these bored so theres plenty of proof that they can be pretty darn crazy

I have had a big one in the past, and I now have a new baby. I myself have not found them to be skittish, but then again, I do provide them with a natural environment so they feel more secure, as well as plenty of room to roam, so that they aren't "near" glass to break should he decide to bolt.
I have had great luck having them feed on pelletized food, but they have a notorious rep. for eating tankmates.
They are awesome, if you have the room.
