i found this guy cruisin around the tank, and i am figureing it has to be from my new wild red tail i got yesterday. it looked like a little crab swimmin around. any info if its internal or external? if there was one, is it likely there is more? what precautions should i take?

i dont know how concerned i should be. thats the only one ive seen. i hope i got him out soon enough that he didnt lay eggs. but if he was on my new redtail did he already lay eggs on him?

i saw one i thought it was cool so i kept it with my betta about week later my betta started to become pale and always lying at the bottom strange but used to stay at surface or mid.and few days later he died and then tonnes of that thing was sticking at the sides of my betta tank some swimming around
nasty thing!!

Wow, you seriously can catch rtcs in the wild? I'm lucky to catch a couple sticklebacks...

Anyway, be careful about wild caught fish, they usually have a lot of parasites that bred fish are not used to.
