yup he made it, and look at his belly already ate some blood worms like 6 hours after he went in. Now I am at work, and my wife will be taking care of him for the next 5 days lol.

tnx guys. Katfishguy how big did your's get? what was the growth rate? This one is pretty shy right now, but hopefully will come out of his shell a lil once he settles in. Can't wait to see him large and in charge.
where did you get him? they probably grow to be huge, huh?

Got it from fishroomplus. I estimate over 3' probably more like 4', but I will just have to grow this one out to find out.

yo i'm glad u told me what it is cause I just brought 2 from Shark aqu in Hillside New Jersey. He thought it was a different cross of the RTCXTSN, but I know it was what u just said it was, a marble X Red tail! I'll post pics of mines when I take some, O also I'm getting a RTC X TSN, just to see how different they look as adults.

I have 5 of these guys and they are eating like mad. they down anything that you feed them. I have rtcxtsn 18" and 2 tsnxniger 10" and have 2 perruno's and the perrunos grew faster than any cats i have ever had so I am guessing the Rtcxperruno will grow really fast as well.

do hybrid catfishes cost more or less?

I'd say just a tad more, but not that much. This guy costed me around $45, plus shipping. I know I've seen rtc x tsn for $25, and like rtc if they are too big for their currrent owners to house you might find one for free.

got my rtc x tsn and my tsn for $24 each at a lfs in iowa, and we never have anything in iowa. i had to go out of state to even get a silver aro. only thing anyone instate could get still had the yolk sac.
i have yet to see a marble x rtc though or i would own one. nice cat necro

Here's this guy at his current 26-28". He's actually growing faster than my rtc who is 28-29" right now. This guy is catching up fast. He's a beast at feeding time. I'll have to get a pic of him next to the rtc sometime soon. They will be the first fish in the 4000 gal tank.
