I have had great luck with these two together but I feel my time is ending. They are both growing quickly and I will seperate them soon.

Wow - quite an awesome setup. Nice work!

Only thing I would worry about is the lungfish grabbing the tail of the monitor, or a leg. Mine did that to a huge soft-shell turtle and shook it like a stuffed toy. Luckily the turtle wasn't hurt, but that was the end of their time together for sure!

would love to see a feeding vid. does the monitor make your water really bad? whats your filtration like?

My lung bit a palm sized common snapper in half and ate it. I watch them close, any aggression they are getting split up.

No filters. Live plants, water changes and an air breathing fish make for a pretty low tech tank.

I don't do filters or heaters on any of my lungfish tanks either. Just change the water as needed. Easy enough.
The monitor probably likes to poop in the water eh?
