Ok i have a descent stocking for my 240g... the water is a tent a yellow which im thinking is just fish waste. and this happen like 4days after water change... i dont really mind that... so what can i add in the filter to get ride of the Smell? carbon? right now i have Ppads, Bio media, Bio Balls.

If your water is yellow, it is seriously polluted. I would do another water change and add some carbon. A healthy fish tank will not smell.

Agreed, and judging by your sig, this is the tank with the oscar that doesn't eat as much as you'd like. Up the water quality and it may change.

Down fall right now... refilling up my tank is a 2 man job... lol... and im alone :( Ill do a water change soon as i get someone to help me.

i wounder why im using a gravel vac rated for a 60 gal tank.. lol.

do you have any driftwood in there maybe helping make it yellowish?

No all drift wood was removed over a month ago for longer soak... Now one peace is back in. This peace isnt leaching anymore.

Water change done.. i wasn't able to find a bag for my Carbon. Im using the FX5 and the carbon i think might be to small to just dump into the chamber. Next time ill get thos fx5 bags... Has anyone used them? do they take up the hole chamber? Oh another thing i moved my Ppads down to chamber 3... they get smashed (which i think is from the force of the water) but they work the best down there.

that is pure polluted water.....you have to change something in what you're doing / using...

Oh in side my Filter was a mess load of dead plants... O.o? yellow leaves... i had a fake plant in side the tank which i took from a planted tank... so im thinking something was on it and so so. can that be from it?
