Here are some pictures that i snapped of my RTG and her tankmate a Silver prochilodus
Didn't manage to get anything nice of the Dats. they were all hiding....

She's btween 15 and 16 inches now, did a proper measurement this morning...

Quality RTG ... wish i had one..
unfortunately, as long as there is not restocking program for asian arowanas
the ban may never be lifted or it may be there for a looong time.

Personally, I think that because Asian Aros are so sought after in captivity, there is no need for a trade ban.
Since we all know that there are farm bread arowanas around.

I think the governments where where asian aros are found naturally should make a conscious effort to farm aros and restock the local rivers. They should also stop illegal fishing of asian aros.
As far as exporting arowanas, all of the aros being exported are farm bred so its not like the environmenti is being depleted.

I agree, with the wild release of aros, but technically speaking the effort is not worth it, most farms breed arowanas for profit.
Nuff said about them ever releasing fish. Even the lowest or poorest grade arowanas can be sold for a few hundreds, which is what business wants, to squeeze every last cent out of consumers.. :hitting: :hitting: :wall:

True and thats why i think the government should start restocking programs and not just tell aro farms to put their farm bred aros in the wild which of course, they would never do..

Back to my Red Tailed Golden, I'm wondering if my filter system is too small for my tank's set up :D
Got about 12 litres of filter media space.
For a 566 Litre tank.
I am putting in 5 Dats, 1 aro and 1 prochiclodus...
