I take the herps out of the cage to get the pics. I'd rather not shoot through glass, and it's a bit tough to get the pose and angle I want for a particular shot in a small tank. I try to keep it simple when choosing the settings for the herps, though I don't want it to look contrived either. Usually a piece of corkbark is all it takes!
 
absolutely stunning pictures. I wonder if it would be possible to set up a little 'studio' for my fish. like a fish picture tank
