I have not done this but an old popular science magazine article says just make the glass/acrylic larger than the window opening, place it inside the tank, and use plenty of silicone sealant between it and the tank wall, and a frame to keep it from shifting while it cuers, the water pressure makes the seal even tighter.

OMG u live in an apartment and want to build a pond in it??? Each to his own if u like to live dangerously. I tink its safer to buy a animal trough, about 300 gals

i'm having the same quandry. so what i'm going to use silicone, frame in plexi and resin the whole inside.
i don't trust using silicone on a pond liner.
