the lobsters you find in supermarkets are saltwater, they are called Maine lobsters

They require 35 degree F MARINE water. They will live for about 10 minutes in 70F marine water

You'd prolly get by with feeding them fish fillets.

the short answer is: get a crayfish and forget about it.

P45 is on the money! They need COLD water, not just cool. If you want sw lobsters try spiney or slipper lobsters, they can be kept as tropicals, be warned, they get pretty large and eat every living thing in the tank.!

At my work, they have a maine blue lobster, I guess thats what it is, and they just drop in thawed out raw shrimp and scallops for it to eat.

You also need a chiller to keep the water cold like the supermarkets do.
