Good job getting them to breed. I saw momma fish where is poppa?
Congrats on getting them spawned! Is it an easy thing to do? Are most clowns in the shop captive bred then? Either way, cool you did it :D

Nice job!!!
Could you post a feeding regiment from day 1.
Thanks...
My feeding regiment was like this...
day 1-10:
I fed rotifers and started them on crushed flakes on day 9
day 11-present:
My rotifer culture crashed so all i had to feed them was flakes. Luckily they got used to them pretty fast.
But the schedule should be something like..
day 1-5: rotifers
Day 5-15: less rotifers, more baby brine
day 15-present: combination of brine and flakes and whatever else you can get them to eat i guess.
Good job getting them to breed. I saw momma fish where is poppa?
He was guarding eggs at the time, ill try to get a pic of him later.
Congrats on getting them spawned! Is it an easy thing to do? Are most clowns in the shop captive bred then? Either way, cool you did it :D
Thanks, I guess its pretty easy to get clowns to spawn, the trouble is raising the fry. Im not sure about most clowns at the LFS being captive bred but at my LFS all of their ocellaris clowns are captive bred...

Only 2 left :( The biggest one killed two of them, for some reason he's not too aggressive towards the one thats left. Im hoping theyll pair up once they get bigger.
Only the biggest of the two is shown in these pics:

From personal experience any sudden water changes will kill off all the fry!
The proof is in the pudding....JOB WELL DONE HERE!
Fish look good, and healthy....you should be very proud....it has taken others many tries with even more failures to get to where you have gotten....
Keep it up.;)

AWWW. Im really into clowns and tangs. Im wanting to breed both. however I read that even tough their both raised the same way, the tangs are not as "HORNY" or reproductive as clowns are. I only own a Clarkii Clownfish. I think the pet store got me a True Percula. I told my mom to tell them to not order it right not but she told them to hold off a week and forgot about it. They guy who seems to raise clowns called but mom never told me and so im think he ordered it so i might be picking it up tomarrow. I was planning on breed clarkii clowns. but i might end up with cross bred ones. If they breed and have babies ill try to get my laptop's usbs fixed to take pick as to what they end up looking like.

Clown fry do not like light so you need to cover the sides of the tank. and do not let light in from the top for the first few days.
If you do everything correct you should have a few hundred.... yup a few hndred fry and like 2 55's to grow em out.

well if they end up breeding with a true percula i might just use them as food but letting the grow and smashing them up in putting them in ice cube tray if the clarkii 100% who ever wants them can have them after thier about a inch in size as long they pay for the shipment

Whoever told you that is full or crap.
Clarkii Clowns are a real species of clown : Amphirion Clarkii
I wouldn't worry about cross breeding Clarkiis with Percs.
It aint gonna happen. I'm almost 100% that it's impossible.
More of a pressing issue is what your big Clarkii will do to smaller more (relatively speaking ) passive species like percula or ocellaris. How big is your tank?
I once saw a 6'' clarkii eat 2'' Bursa trigger. seriously. . .Clarkiis don't play!

Mine is just a mid baby only about 1-2 inches form face to end of his tail. and ya MUST clowns will kill tank mates if they feel the need to feed the Host Ano. I seen vids. of them attacking and grabbing other fish by the top of their body and tossing them into their Host. but on this im sure if the ano. is well fed the clown will play nice. idk with the clarkii would be nice on for other reason like when is comes to their breeding area or what ever but ya
