Okay, to post pics on a thread this is the way I do it, it might not be the easiest but it works for me.
Save your picture to your computers photo file and edit it to no more than around 600 pixels wide, I like about 350, and make sure you save it as a jpeg file not a bmp.
Start a thread, you will need to type in at least one word,
Below the message box click "go advanced"
then drop down until you see "manage attachments" and click there.
In the new window click on "browse"
select your picture and click "open"
repeat as needed
Then click "upload"
close that window,
then below the box where you found "manage attachments" click "submit reply"
now you are done, hope this helps

Hi, After you click on the picture and select edit, how do you reduce the pixels?
Are you talking about in a thread? I dont think you can, I think you have to do it before you post the pic if its in a thread? I've never seen an option for that.

Sorry about not checking back on this thread before,
Ballsmcgee, the "submit reply" button is below the "manage attatchments" box.

Twk, put your avatar image into any editor program like photo impact or even paint, resize it there and make sure to "save as" a jpeg file, not as a bmp file. The steps you take differ for each editor program but the right function is almost always labeled "resize", it is sometimes found seperately, sometimes under properties, or file, or even edit.

If you don't have any phot imaging software "Paint" will work as well, it just won't look as good.

I was just wondering, can you use html to add images?

So here I am at 3 postings and all pictures are not alike. Some are attachments that I am not allowed to open because I'm a newbie on the site. They just show a reference t a file name and location. Others seem to actually be pasted into the message rather than being a file reference. I suspect the methods that each person is using are affecting how it comes out for someone without jpg viewing rights. It would be good if a knowledgeable moderator could explain the different ways to post pictures and what the end result is. I suspect that for most people, these pictures all look like pictures.

It is. Copy the image location from photobucket, and paste it directly into your thread. Use the URL tags.

That's the thing, we didn't do anything really! We did give him/her a heater, pump but it just pinched the wires and the water went BLACK! And we had it in a small fish-tank with a lid, but he decided that the tank wasn't good enough. On a few occasions, he escaped from the tank and wasn't seen for weeks! The last time that he disappeared, it was summer and really hot. We thought he'd died, but he came home (till can't understand how he lived for Sooooooo long!) Bet you can guess its name, right?

"On a few occasions, he escaped from the tank and wasn't seen for weeks!"

Oh that is wild . I would have never thought a crab could escape and stay alive for week's like that.

I am going to guess his name is Houdini ?
