hello there i am new to this site today . about a week ago i purchased a Senegal bichir now i know nothing of what kinda tank mates are good for him / her or if it can eat anything other than shrimp pellets if i could get some help with this that would be great thanks p.s. he is about 4-5 inches long lol still a little guy haha

There is a great primer in the poly section that definitely should be read. But for now mine eats brine shrimp, bloodworms, pellets but loves pieces of krill. Hope this helps and welcome and pics of the guy are now a mandatory requirement.

right now he is in a 30 gal one day when he is big enough i will put him in my 90 gal with my red Oscar if it is doable lol

He will do fine in a 30 gal, but bigger is better. He should be fine with an oscar, but make sure the oscar doesn't eat all the food before the bichir gets some.

thank you yesterday i went to the pet store again and i bought a pictus cat ,now the pictus cat seem extreemly hyper as i know that it is normal but what i am wondering is do you think that this will stress my bichir out at all ?

so i went to the pet store yesterday and bought a pictus cat , this pictus cat seems ectreemly hyper i know that this is normal but what i am wondering is will this hyper fish stress out my bichir?
